The Black WitchLaurie Forest2I listened to an audio book version of this book, and it was fantastic! The narrator did such an amazing job with the dialogues, and I felt like she really captured everyone's feelings and delivered them to her listeners well. In terms of the actual book, I thought it was a great start to a series, but it could have been better. The world building is lacking, and I felt that maybe if the author would have spent a bit more time on it, we would have gotten a much more whole world. Also, because it's a first person narrative, we're always going to miss information. Because of the amount of characters presented in this book, I think it would have been smarter doing it in multiple point of views. It's a YA novel, and you can definitely feel it centering a lot around romance. I like romance, but there were definitely times when I was just hoping the author would get to the point and stop describing people's appearance and attraction to each other in every other sentence. <img src="https://media.giphy.com/media/xT1R9Fg6k444xPK4SY/giphy.gif"/>
